Master Your Memory Seminar
Please give some thought to the kind of things it would be useful to be able to memorise easily in your subject area. If there is time we will discuss these.

Intelligent Speed Reading Seminar

We will be conducting a number of reading sessions during the seminar so please bring two books with you: -

1. An easy-reading fiction novel. This should be a book that doesn’t contain a great deal of unfamiliar or uncommon words and that isn’t overly complex, dense or obscure. Examples: Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, Dan Brown. If your first language isn’t English you may like to bring something in your own language. However, please also bring a book in English as well. The exercises we will do will be geared around alphabet-based text so if your own language is not an alphabet-based language please bring a book that does use an alphabet even if it is not your first language.
2. An academic book / non-fiction book / report - with summaries, diagrams, footnotes, pictures, insert boxes, glossaries, etc.. This should be a book that you are happy to mark with a pencil.
A calculator to help calculate your reading speed.
A soft pencil - B or softer - to mark up points as you speed read.

Introduction to Mind Maps Seminar
Please bring any coloured pens or pencils you have. We will be bringing a selection with us, but the more we have, the better. Please give some thought to an essay subject or a discussion area that you might like us to cover during the seminar.
